Pimp my Lumix 7-14!

Those who own the Lumix 7-14mm super wide angle zoom lens might have had that thought: “If only I could attach a polarizer filter to this lens!” Well, you obviously can’t, for three reasons:

  1. The front lens element protrudes too far outside the lens barrel,
  2. the lens hood is fixed and
  3. it doesn’t have a filter thread.

So what to do if you desperately do want/need to use a filter with this lens? Build an attachable filter adapter that fits on the hood yourself, like this guy at the dpreview Micro Four Thirds Talk forum did!
