In the summer of 2006, I spent six weeks at an excavation at Kayalıpınar (“Rocky Springs”), Sivas, Turkey. The department of archaeology of the university of Marburg, Germany is excavating a Hittite settlement there, and I had the opportunity to join them and experience an archaeological excavation first-hand. Of course this time was accompanied by many many impressions, which I captured with my Panasonic Lumix FZ30. Some of them I would like to share with you in this gallery.
