Mike Johnston from The Online Photographer is contemplating ‘The Trouble with Recommendations’. In short: everytime an ‘expert’ on a certain field recommends something to someone, they will most certainly have more trouble with it than fun (or whatever it is they were looking for). This seems to hold true for cars and printers (yes, printers) in particular.
I’m not an expert (not in the field of photography, anyway), but I can only second Mike’s statement: Whatever you’re going to get, go with the Ferrari 599.
