According to a news post on DC Watch (via Leica Rumors), Leica are going to introduce another special edition of the X1, featuring black embossed ostrich leather (is it real ostrich?), which does not only look exceptionally good, but will probably also offer superior grip compared to the X1’s default leathering. From the picture provided by DC Watch, it also looks as if the Black Embossed Ostrich Limited’s body paint were a bit darker than the regular X1’s.

On the downside, only 80 pieces will be produced, and they’ll be sold only in Japan at a price of around ¥ 230,000 ($ 2,745 USD, € 2,160).

UPDATE: According to Leica Rumors, the leathering isn’t made of real Ostrich leather. But they don’t say what it actually is.
