Three from a recent walk

On the same evening walk at which today’s picture of the day was taken, I also took these three pictures.

I saw that couple approaching and had a gut feeling to take a picture. As it turned out, I really came to like this shot. The way the couple is placed amidst the trees communicates calmness and peace, yet their movement introduces a busy element. Who are they? What’s their relationship? Where do they come from, and where are they heading?

This iron book is located in the upper city of Marburg, just behind the famous “Café Vetter”, where some of the best cakes in town are served. The book shows a page of a famous German children’s novel called “Emil und die Detektive” (“Emil and the detectives” in English), by the famous German author Erich Kästner. When people first learn Emil’s name, many are reminded of this novel.

The last picture for today was taken later that evening through the window of the restaurant “Café 1900”. The highlights are all reflections from the inside of the restaurant. Gotta love that Nokton’s bokeh! 😉
