There is this one street in Marburg that has only cherry trees, and each year during springtime, the whole street will be filled with pink blossoms. It attracts many visitors and photographers each spring, because it is quite a sight, and unique around here.
During the last couple weeks, I regularly took a detour on my way to work, to see if the trees were already blooming. Yesterday, I finally found them blooming in full splendour!
Hello, I am studying in Marburg, too and this is my first spring here. Could you please let me know the name of the cherry blossom street? One of my professors told me this morning but I could not guess how it is spelled.
I googled “cherry blossoms in Marburg” and I found your photography blog!
Thank you in advance.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Dear Mai, thanks for visiting! I believe the street in question is Stresemannstraße, although I’m not entirely sure. It’s in the Südviertel (southern quarter) of Marburg. If you walk down Wilhelmstraße from where it meets Schwanallee, you should find it.
Hello,
Thank you so much for your quick response. I found the street this morning and took many great pictures. It was my first time to see the cherry blossoms indeed !!!
