Shawn Low from CNET Asia has written a hands-on report on the recently announced Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH. Micro Four Thirds lens — the Micro reincarnation of the legendary Leica D Summilux 25/1.4 for the Four Thirds system.
The Panasonic Leica 25/1.4 Summilux is being ascribed high sharpness even wide open, and a natural colour reproduction — nothing less than what we await from a Leica branded lens. The article also features some very nice sample pictures that illustrate the lens’ pleasing rendering (especially of its bokeh — the quality of the rendering of out-of-focus areas). The images convey that the lens also fare very well when it comes to both macro and micro contrast.
