I’ve got a plugin for my WordPress installation that records all the traffic going through my website. One feature is that it records the keywords by which Google searches are redirected to my website. Here are the current top five keywords as of today, August 5th, 2011:
- “leica x2” — 314 redirects
- “35/1.2 version ii asph nokton” — 119 redirects
- “efixmedia” — 112 redirects
- “helios multifinder” — 92 redirects
- “pentax 25 1.4” — 85 redirects
Wow! 314 people looking searching “leica x2” were redirected to my site, and that because of one single April fool’s prank post I made this year … Obviously, the Leica X2 is in high demand already!
Also interesting is that so many people seem to be looking for that crappy Helios Multifinder. Sorry, for using that word, but it really is crappy. So don’t bother looking for it …
EDIT: To put things into perspective, the redirects for “leica x2” are since April this year. The redirects for “helios multifinder” are since early last year.
