Graffiti (singular: graffito; the plural is used as a mass noun) is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or marked in any manner on property. Graffiti is any type of public markings that may appear in the forms of simple written words to elaborate wall paintings.

Others might say that graffiti are the ultimate form of street art. However you define the term, and whatever you think about if it’s right or wrong to spray them, they are often quite elaborate and interesting works of art. Gallery: Cathedral of Cologne, Germany

In late december 2009, my dear friend Erik from Boston came to Germany for a visit, and we met in Cologne. One thing we did was visiting the cathedral, and of course we couldn’t resist taking a bunch of snaps :-)
