The christmas series continues with another illuminated christmas star. Unlike those featured recently, this one was plain white. So no significant information was lost upon conversion to b&w 😉

The region where my wife’s family lives is plastered with power plants. Whichever direction you look, chances are you’ll see a plant somewhere on the horizon. Not the best surroundings for photographing landscapes … except if a juxtaposition of nature and industry is what you’re looking for.  Leica M8 + Planar 50/2 @ f/8, 1/500 sec, ISO 160 On the christmas market Cologne Neumarkt today. I like the calm and peaceful expression of the statuette — somehow antithetical to the busy consumerism you’re seeing everywhere these days.  Leica M8 + Biogon 28/2.8 @ f/2.8, 1/45 sec, ISO 640 I saw this car in a parking lot and just had to take a picture — love that bonnet design  Leica M8 + Planar 50/2 @ f/4, 1/90 sec, ISO 160 The first snow of the year! While it was enough to make snowballs, it didn’t last long, and today most of it was gone again. After an overcast day, the sky cleared up yesterday evening, and I was able to take a picture of this beautiful winter sunset.  Leica M8 + Heliar 15/4.5 @ f/8, 1/90 sec, ISO 160 I think I’ll have to try using the Heliar without the UV/IR filter, it always gets the corners messed up despite using a Tri-Elmar lens profile at the 16mm setting. |
