So 2010 is over. And as it is with things past, we tend to forget them through the daily work that occupies us. 2010 was quite a year, though. Many things happened. I’ve learned a lot of stuff. I have so many great and some not so great memories. I can’t do justice to all of them. So, here’s a little photographic review of 2010. One picture for each month — except for April, since I’ve lost all my pictures from April due to a harddisk crash in late 2010. (This is one of the not so great memories …)
January: Emil watching the snow fall through our balcony door. (This picture was featured in Steve Huff’s “Daily Inspiration” column.)

Last sunday, we went to the zoo toghether with my father and his spouse. It was a very nice day and all of us were having great fun. As promised, here are some pictures.

Yesterday we spent an afternoon at the zoo, together with my dad and his spouse. It was the nicest weather, and Emil had loads of fun with all the animals.
This is my favourite picture from yesterday. I was absolutely amazed by how this guy looked at me … as if he was deliberately posing for the guy with the camera.

I might post more pictures from yesterday when I find the time to process them.
This shot was taken on the autobahn today, on the way to Emil’s grandparents. I saw the misty hills from afar and got the right lens mounted just in time to get one shot. As you see, I had to crop it. Processed in Lightroom 3 beta and again played with merging a color + b&w version.

Since this square version is rather small and low-res, I also uploaded a larger (700 px) version that you can view by clicking on the image.
Todays potds were taken yesterday, when we went to town with my father to enjoy a delightful piece of cake at the Rosenpark café, which is part of a rather expensive spa/hotel. This is one of the two addresses in Marburg if you’d like to enjoy some really good cake, the other being the Café Vetter in the upper city.
The first was taken at a jeweller’s shop, the second inside the hotel and the third inside the café.
